Los Angeles, CA (April 15 2026) – Gambit, an AI-first defense software company, announced it has been awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement by the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) to integrate its adaptive intelligence into GVSC’s simulation environment for advanced counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) testing and evaluation.

The effort establishes an integrated simulation capability that combines GVSC’s physics-based environment with Gambit’s Cortex AI platform and Neuron mesh network technology. Together, these systems enable realistic modeling of coordinated autonomous behaviors, communications, and engagement dynamics in complex C-UAS scenarios.

Under the agreement, Gambit will integrate its software into GVSC’s simulation platform to support virtual wargaming and evaluation of both C-UAS and counter-C-UAS defeat capabilities. The environment allows operators and program teams to define mission parameters and simulate how autonomous systems coordinate, adapt, and execute in real time across distributed systems.

By bringing adaptive autonomy and communications into a high-fidelity simulation environment, the collaboration enables more realistic and scalable testing without the cost, risk, and logistical constraints of live exercises. This approach supports faster iteration, improved system validation, and more effective preparation for operational deployment.

“At scale, autonomy is not a hardware problem, it is a coordination problem,” said Josh Giegel, CEO of Gambit. “We are seeing that play out in real time as autonomous systems are used in contested environments. This work focuses on enabling rapid development and training of coordinated behaviors across live and simulated environments.”

The OTA framework enables rapid prototyping and close collaboration between government and industry, accelerating the development and evaluation of advanced autonomy capabilities in support of Army modernization efforts.

ABOUT GAMBIT

Gambit Defense is an AI-first software company delivering multi-domain, collaborative, behavior-based intelligence for autonomous systems. Its platform is domain- and platform-agnostic, enabling heterogeneous robotic teams to operate as coordinated units in complex and contested environments. Gambit allows operators to task robotic systems as they would human teammates by defining the mission space and assigning behaviors, while its unifying intelligence layer translates operator intent into distributed, real-time execution across fleets. The intelligence lives at the edge, enabling adaptive, resilient mission execution without increasing operator burden.
